Mac Os 9 Startup Sound. Depending on which mac and macos you're using, you might hear a startup sound shortly after. Web use sound settings to turn the startup sound (chime) on or off.
On macs running macos big sur or later the startup sound is enabled by default, but can be disabled by the user within system preferences (big sur or monterey) or system settings (ventura). Both the original system and wave formats are included. Turn “play sound on startup” on or off.
